The 2020-2021 FAFSA is available for completion on October 1st, 2019. Don’t wait until the last minute. Get your financial aid application done as soon as possible! FAFSA Completion is a graduation requirement.

NOMMA staff does not determine eligibility for TOPS scholarships, nor can we confirm scholarship amounts. Check out the following resources to learn more:
NOMMA offers two high school diploma types approved by the LDOE: TOPS University Diploma and Jumpstart TOPS Tech Career Diploma. Each parent and cadet must chose a diploma type as well as a pathway by the end of their 10th grade year.
Jumpstart TOPS Tech Career Diploma
This diploma type is Louisiana's Career and Technical Education Program, which prepares cadets to secure a high-wage job AND attend a technical or community college after graduation. Each cadet will earn an industry-based certification by the time they graduate! To learn more about Louisiana's Jumpstart Diploma, click here.
Jumpstart Graduation Requirements
TOPS University Diploma
The TOPS University Diploma offers cadets the necessary curriculum to prepare them to attend a four year college or university after graduation. Foreign language and art are requirements with this diploma type.
TOPS University Graduation Requirements
All cadets at NOMMA must also choose a career pathway in addition to their diploma type. NOMMA offers 4 pathways from which to choose: Cyber Engineering, Maritime, Digital Media and Microenterprise. The New Orleans Military/Maritime Academy (NOMMA) is a Type 2 charter high school serving students in the New Orleans Metropolitan area. NOMMA is dedicated to the education of high school students, no matter their background or previous school experience.
